Cookie policy
1. The short version
This website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. There is no advertising and no embedded content from other companies, and therefore no consent banner, because there is nothing stored on your device to ask you about. Two things do load from Cloudflare, who host the site: a cookieless visitor count, and the bot check on the contact form. Neither sets a cookie here. Section 3 says exactly what each one does.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep, so that the site can recognise you on your next visit or on your next page. Related techniques, such as local storage, do the same job by other means. The law that governs them in the UK is the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), alongside UK GDPR.
Under those rules a website may only store something on your device without asking where it is strictly necessary for something you have requested, or, since February 2026, for a narrow set of purposes such as first-party visitor statistics where you are told and can opt out. Everything else needs your consent first.
3. What this site does
It sets no cookies. The table that would normally appear here, listing every cookie by name, who sets it, what it does and when it expires, is empty because there is nothing to put in it. That is still true now that we count visits: the counter was chosen because it stores nothing on your device.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| None. No cookie, and nothing in local or session storage, is set by this site or by anyone through it. | |||
Specifically:
- The site is plain pages served by Cloudflare, who host it. Their servers do not set a cookie for this site.
- We count visits, using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookie and writes
nothing to your browser’s storage. A small script reports the page you are on, the site you
came from if any, your browser and device type, the country your connection appears to be in, and
how quickly the page loaded. Cloudflare state that they do not use cookies or browser fingerprinting
for this and do not track you across other websites. We see counts and totals, not people: there is
no profile of you, nothing is joined up with anything you send us through the form, and nobody is
named. If you would rather not be counted at all, any content blocker that blocks
static.cloudflareinsights.comstops the script loading, and the site works exactly the same without it. - There are no embeds: no maps, videos, social media widgets or fonts loaded from other companies.
- The contact form is protected by Cloudflare’s Turnstile, a bot check that
loads from
challenges.cloudflare.comonly when you reach the form. It looks at your browser, and when you send a message your IP address is passed to Cloudflare to confirm the check. That is used only to tell a person from a bot, and it sets no cookie on this site. Cloudflare already host the site, so this adds no new company. What you type in the form is sent once as an email and not stored by the site.
4. How to check
You do not have to take our word for it. Open this site in a new private window, open your browser’s developer tools, and look at the Application or Storage tab. Cookies, local storage and session storage for this site will all be empty — including after the visitor count has run, which you can watch happen in the Network tab.
We check the same thing ourselves, in a clean browser profile, whenever the site changes.
5. If that ever changes
If we ever add something that stores information on your device, this page will list it by name before it goes live, the privacy notice will be updated to match, and where the law requires consent you will be asked first, with refusing exactly as easy as accepting and nothing switched on in advance.
6. Browser controls
You can block or delete cookies for any site in your browser settings. Since this site sets none, doing so changes nothing here, but the links are:
